WomenatthecentrE was funded by the Government of Canada to facilitate this panel event for Victims and Survivors of Crime Week 2024. Panelists are those with lived experience who share what brought them to their advocacy work. They also individually conceptualize collaboration and why community is important for them and other survivors of anti-Black gender-based violence. Their truth-telling highlights what justice can look like beyond the criminal legal system as it stands now.
