Disclosing your Disability: A legal guide for gender-based violence and traumatic brain injury survivors in Ontario

This plain language fact sheet aims to empower people with disabilities to advocate for their needs, in order to participate fully in court systems and other legal processes. It explores the legal definition of disability in Canada, the rights and protections individuals are entitled to under the law, and provides guidance on how to disclose a disability effectively. This resource was developed in collaboration with Pro Bono Students Canada.
